Located in the town of La Porte in northern reaches of California’s gold country, along the historic stagecoach road running from Marysville to Quincy. This remote area in southwestern Plumas County is a recreational area with nearby Little Grass Valley Reservoir. The area offers excellent camping and fishing during the summer and snowmobiling during the winter months. The famous Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) passes nearby.

The General Store has served the local community and visitors for over 100 years. It is the only gas station in a 20-mile radius and offers groceries and ice. The deli section can provide sandwiches, etc. We likely have what you need, from fishing lures, caps, rope, ice cream, beer, salt, beans, chips, flour, can openers, t-shirts, steaks and so much more.
